Lychnis chalcedonica Maltese Cross

The Lychnis chalcedonica Maltese Cross attracts butterflies. Clusters of orange red blossoms on long stems make it excellent for cutting. It needs support in my garden. The leaves is at its best in early July in Calgary. Cottage gardens, this is a rugged and easy perennial for any sunny border.

July 3 featured perennial in my Parkdale garden.
